In-Person Event: AI Economics in the OpenAI Forum
About the Event:
Join OpenAI at our research lab headquarters in San Francisco for a look at the cutting-edge tools that will unlock new paths to economic growth – if we think ambitiously and move quickly.
During the AI Economics event in the OpenAI Forum, our Chief Product Officer, Kevin Weil, and Chief Economist Ronnie Chatterji will walk you through new AI capabilities and the economics they could help generate for the country and local communities. Then we’re hoping to hear from you through a series of breakout discussions with other economic, energy and technology experts about the policy areas that are key to AI’s success. When you log into the OpenAI Forum event, you’ll be able to see the running list of RSVP’s.
Fulfilling OpenAI’s mission to create Artificial General Intelligence that benefits all of humanity requires deep, sustained collaboration with experts, which is why the OpenAI Forum exists. Last year, the OpenAI Forum hosted MIT professor David Autor for a conversation on “Expertise, Artificial Intelligence, and the Work of the Future” and LinkedIn Chief Economist Karin Kimbrough for a discussion about her company’s research paper called “Preparing the Workforce for Generative AI: Insights and Implications.” In 2025 we are excited to expand our community efforts in this domain, and co-create a positive future with AGI with you.
