About the Talk

This OpenAI Forum event brings together OpenAI, Ask Mona, and the Sanskriti Foundation / Sanskriti Museums—one of India’s leading cultural institutions—to explore how AI can change the way people experience museums.

At the center of this event at Travancore Palace in New Delhi is an exhibit showcasing an exceptional collection of ancient terracotta sculptures from the Sanskriti Museum. Visitors will use an AI-powered docent to engage directly with selected artworks. By scanning a QR code beside each piece, visitors can ask questions in real time—about artistic techniques, historical context, symbolism, or cultural meaning—and receive responses in multiple languages on their phones, at their own pace.

Rather than replacing curators or scholars, this technology adds a new layer of interpretation. It allows visitors to follow their own curiosity, go deeper on topics that matter to them, and engage with cultural heritage in a more personal and accessible way.

The experience will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Ronnie Chatterji, Chief Economist at OpenAI; Marion Carré, Co-Founder and President of Ask Mona; Varun Jain, Managing Trustee of the Sanskriti Foundation; and other guests. The conversation will focus on how AI can expand access to museums, support interpretation and scholarship, and help cultural institutions reach broader and more diverse audiences—without losing context, accuracy, or trust.

The evening will conclude with a networking reception and refreshments.

About the Speakers

Amish Tripathi, Author, Broadcaster, and Former Diplomat

Amish is an author, former diplomat & broadcaster. Amish published his first book in 2010 and has written 12 books (both fiction and non-fiction) till date. His books have sold over 8 million copies and been translated into 21 Indian & international languages. He is the fastest-selling author in Indian publishing history.

Forbes India has regularly ranked Amish among the top 100 most influential celebrities in India. Among his recent awards are the prestigious Dwarka Prasad Agarwal award at the Jaipur Litfest 2024 & Best Factual Presenter in a Documentary at the Asian Academy, Singapore 2025. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of York, UK, in January 2026 for his contributions to Literature & global cultural dialogue.

As a broadcaster, he has hosted many documentaries with Warner Bros Discovery, NDTV & Jio India. Among them are Legends of the Ramayan with Amish (2022), Journey of India (2022) & Legends of Shiva with Amish (2025), MahaKumbh Tales with Amish (2025). He has produced & hosted the highly acclaimed & blockbuster documentary Ram Janmabhoomi – Return of a Splendid Sun (2024); the Ram Janmabhoomi documentary was the most watched Indian documentary of 2024 and the 4th most watched non-fiction show overall (an unprecedented viewership for a serious documentary in a reality TV dominated market like India).

In his diplomatic role, Amish worked as the Minister (Culture & Education) at the Indian High Commission to the UK (equivalent to Embassy) and the Director of The Nehru Centre in London from 2019 to 2023. This role was within the Ministry of External Affairs in the Indian Government (equivalent to the US State Department). Amish has also partnered with British-French company Tara Gaming and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan as a founder and co-creator of an upcoming video game, Age of Bhaarat, which will be the first AAA game based on an Indian epic. Amish has partnered with Lord Jeffery Archer to launch the IGF Archer-Amish Award, a distinguished annual literary prize of $25,000 for novels that showcase an authentic Indian perspective.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta; He received the Eminent Alumnus Award from IIM-Calcutta in 2017. He worked for 14 years in senior roles in the financial services industry before turning to full-time writing.

Varun Jain, Managing Trustee on the Board of Sanskriti Foundation

Varun Jain is a senior Corporate, Government & Public Affairs leader with over 25 years of experience shaping leadership strategy, driving policy engagement, and advancing business priorities across complex stakeholder ecosystems. With a strong foundation in management, legal, policy, and technology domains, he brings a nuanced understanding of how commercial, regulatory, and public-sector interests intersect.

He serves as Managing Trustee on the Board of Sanskriti Foundation, one of India’s foremost cultural and arts institutions, founded by his grandfather Shri OP Jain, and dedicated to preserving heritage, nurturing artistic excellence, and fostering intercultural dialogue. In this role, Varun contributes to the strategic direction of initiatives such as the Sanskriti Kendra, its artist and writer residencies, and its pioneering museums and educational programmes—helping expand the Foundation’s national and global impact.

Varun holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, an LLB from Delhi University, and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, where he founded Asia’s first chapter of Net Impact. His leadership in public policy, cultural stewardship, and social impact was recognized with his selection to the Asia Society’s Asia21 Young Leaders program in 2007.

Marion Carré, Co-Founder and President of Ask Mona

Marion Carré is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, lecturer, and artist whose work explores the intersections of art and artificial intelligence from multiple perspectives.

She is the co-founder and president of Ask Mona, a pioneering company that has been applying AI to spark curiosity and expand access to knowledge since 2017. The company has partnered with over 200 cultural institutions and brands across more than 15 countries, including the Louvre, the Orsay Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Colosseum in Rome, and the National Fine Arts Museum of Quebec.

Marion is the author of several books, including The Moving Walkway Paradox: Resisting Intellectual Laziness in the Age of AI (2025, JC Lattès) and Who Wanted to Erase Alice Recoque? In the Footsteps of a Forgotten Pioneer of Artificial Intelligence (2024, Fayard). She has also contributed to numerous articles and academic publications.

Since 2019, she has shared her expertise at Sciences Po and Sorbonne University, where she teaches one of the first lectures on art and AI. She also serves as an external member of the Board of Directors of Sorbonne University, contributing to its governance and strategic oversight.

She has served as an expert for various governmental bodies. In 2025, she was appointed Ambassador for AI & Tourism by the French Minister of Tourism for the national plan Osez l’IA. In 2023, she joined the five-member Strategic Committee for Generative AI in the Cultural Sector, appointed by the French Minister of Culture. Since 2022, she has also served as an expert evaluator for the European Commission.

Marion is a frequent keynote speaker at major international events, where she shares her insights on art and AI, including at UNESCO, the Paris AI Action Summit, ATxSummit in Singapore, E-AI Montréal, London Night of Ideas and during the Belgian Presidency of the Council of Europe.

Her artistic practice, showcased in exhibitions in France and Scotland, reflects on the impact of emerging technologies.

Passionate about fostering the next generation, she is committed to supporting young talents and cultural entrepreneurs. In this capacity, she has been an ambassador for several French and international initiatives. She is also one of the 20 Ambassadors of the French Touch, contributing to the global influence of French cultural industries.

Marion has received multiple distinctions, including being named Chevalier (Knight) of the Order of Arts and Letters (French Ministry of Culture), inclusion in Forbes 30 Under 30 (France 2022, Europe 2023), the Blooloop Top 50 Museum Influencer list (2022 and 2023), and the Medal of Honor of the City of Paris (2018).

Ronnie Chatterji, Chief Economist @ OpenAI

Aaron “Ronnie” Chatterji, Ph.D., is OpenAI’s first Chief Economist. He is also the Mark Burgess & Lisa Benson-Burgess Distinguished Professor at Duke University, working at the intersection of academia, policy, and business. He served in the Biden Administration as White House CHIPS coordinator and Acting Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, shaping industrial policy, manufacturing, and supply chains. Before that, he was Chief Economist at the Department of Commerce and a Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. He is on leave as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and previously taught at Harvard Business School. Earlier in his career, he worked at Goldman Sachs and was a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Chatterji holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.
